DETROIT and TOKYO —VicOne, Inventec (TWSE: 2356), and Skymizer announced today their collaborations to deliver a robust in-car GenAI security solution for smart cockpits. The highlight is to secure the innovation of AI-powered cockpits from sensitive data leaks and addressing security risks while car users experience a better service from AI applications. In this collaboration, Inventec’s AAOS IVI, powered by the latest Qualcomm SoC, will deliver an immersive in-vehicle experience with multi-screen support, high-resolution cameras, and premium audio; Skymizer will accelerate LLM (large language model) inference at the edge; and VicOne’s new AI Guardian feature will be protecting GenAI-based applications from sensitive data leaks, phishing and unexpected response, to safeguard the automotive ecosystem.
With the growing adoption of generative AI (GenAI) across industries, applications such as content creation, operational efficiency improvement, and conversational services have become increasingly common. However, sensitive data involved is often recorded to deliver optimized services. In the automotive industry, AI is increasingly utilized in vehicles to offer more personalized value-added services, but the handling of sensitive data has sparked growing concerns over potential leaks and misuse. Also, user-unaware AI prompt injection, unsecure outputs, vulnerable or unsecure third-party tools and APIs will also pose risks to both vehicle owners and manufacturers.
